A party band with a difference
Hipstamatics take iconic, well-known tunes and reinterpret them into an authentic vintage soul/funk style. Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and James Brown are all in the DNA.
Based in Auckland and playing since 2011, the band scales from a tight 7-piece to a full 10-piece with a four-horn section — whichever suits the room and the budget. From one song to three 45-minute sets, with full production available if you need it.
Festivals, corporate events, weddings, awards nights, New Year's Eve — the brief is always the same: get everyone on the good foot.
